Mazda To Offer CX-7 Crossover With 2.2-litre Turbo Diesel In Europe
Good news for Mazda dealers across Europe as the Japanese firm will enhance the European CX-7 line-up with the addition of a diesel version. More specifically, Mazda will offer its CX-7 Crossover form mid-2008 with the Ford / PSA Peuegot-Citroen jointly developed, 2.2-litre turbo diesel engine that delivers 155 Hp. In Europe , the CX-7 has been launched initially with the Mazda6 MPS derived, 260 Hp turbocharged 2.3-litre petrol engine combined with a six-speed manual transmission. Due to the fact that most MPV’s and SUV’s are opted with diesel powtrains in Europe , it is expected the Mazda will probably more than double its initial CX-7 volume in 2008.
