When the plant opened for business in 1993, it had 800 employees who produced 2,000 engines. Today, Audi Hungaria employs 5,800 workers who produce as many as 7,000 engines and 300 automobiles each day.

Audi Hungaria Celebrates More Than 15 Millionth Engines in 15 Years
Audi Hungaria is the Audi Group’s major engine supplier and, according to the German carmaker, the world’s second-largest engine plant. Now the plant that’s located in Gyor is celebrating its 15th birthday after it first opened in spring 1993. To date, Audi Hungaria that also supplies engines for the brands of the Volkswagen Group, has produced more than 15.4 million engines .
