Video Galore: Chrysler 200C Hybrid-Electric Concept Presentation, Driving and Static Footage

True, as many of our readers cleverly pointed out, Chrysler's surprise concept at this year's Detroit Show, certainly does bear a resemblance (or two...) up front with the Opel Insignia. But to tell you the truth, in our books, Chrysler's designers did a wonderful job with the 200C EV, creating a dynamically styled and well proportioned rear-wheel drive sport sedan. If the firm manages to make it through these difficult times, we hope that the 200C will find its way into production. 1957 Chrysler Diablo Concept up for Auction

This one-of-a-kind 1957 Chrysler Diablo Concept car that was conceived by Chrysler’s famous head designer Virgil Exner and built by the Carrozzeria Ghia in Italy, will be put up for sale at the Sports and Classics of Monterey auction to be held August 15 & 16, 2008 in California. The fully-functional soft-top convertible was built on a 1955 Chrysler 300 series chassis using a 392 cubic inch Hemi V8 with a push-button operated Torque-Flite automatic transmission. A unique car with an even more dazzling interior that makes you wonder what the heck happened to the American car industry… -Video and images after the jump

Video: 2008 Cuda Concept Owner Shows Off His Car

We’ve been (painstakingly) trying to gather official info on the Cuda Concept and here’s what we came up with; a video with the owner of the 2008 Cuda Concept showing off his car at the “Mopars At Playboy Mansion” event that took place on October 19, 2007. -Video and details after the jump

The owner of the 2008 Cuda Concept is a guy named Curt (no, he didn’t reveal his surname). But Curt is not only the owner, he’s also the designer of the modern Cuda which is equipped with a 6.1-liter Hemi V8. Curt revealed that the Cuda Concept is dressed with a carbon fibre made body made by “Metalcrafters”, a Californian company that has built many Chrysler’s concepts, including the carbon fiber bodied Dodge Challenger Concept. According to Curt, the Cuda project could lead to a production version if all goes well.

For the record, the Cuda appears right in the beginning of the video but you’ll have to wait about 3 minutes to see details and of course, the owner of the concept talking about his creation. For the Playboy gals, you’ll have to wait a bit longer…
