Project Kahn, tuner of all exotic and expensive cars - sometimes of humble Korean SUVs also..., has revealed details and photos of its latest proposal for the Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano. The UK based tuning firm has kept it rather simple as the only upgrades concern the in-house designed and manufactured carbon F1-X magnesium alloy wheels (20-inch front and 21-inch rear), the lowered suspension and a new sport exhaust system that improves the V12 engine's acoustics. As you can see in the photos after the jump, Project Kahn's "less is more" attitude works pretty well on the 599.

The customized Rexton study that was shown at this year's British International Auto Salon has found its way into production after the positive feedback from the public that visited SsangYong's show stand - or so the Chinese-owned, Korean automaker supports. Differing only in detail from the study, the Rexton R-Line is the work of Project Kahn, a tuner primarily known for its Aston Martin, Range Rover and Land Rover tuning proposals. Built at Project Kahn's Bradford facility, the Rexton R-Line is based on the Rexton 270 SPR. Apart from the black paintwork, the most apparent changes on the outside concerns the massive 22-inch Kahn Design RST alloy wheels and the quad tailpipes.Performance and handling are said to be improved with a Kahn Design sports exhaust and a lower centre of gravity from the sports suspension springs which also offers a more aggressive stance to the Rexton R-Line.
Inside, Project Kahn's team has added high quality black nappa leather and soft Alcantara seats with red stitching while the seats, door panels and center console have also been specially upholstered.
The vehicle's standard equipment includes climate control, electronic stability programme (ESP) with active rollover protection (ARP), hill descent control (HDC), ABS, parking sensors, cruise control, auto lights and wipers, side airbags, electric folding door mirrors and heated seats. SsangYong claims that the only thing the R-Line doesn't have as standard is an audio system not because they're cheapskates, but because they believe customers are likely to want to specify their own choice of premium sound system.
The Rexton R-Line is equipped with a 2.7-liter five cylinder turbo diesel engine producing 186HP and 402 Nm torque at 2,400rpm. Transmission is a Mercedes T-Tronic automatic with gear lever and steering wheel shift buttons, and with permanent all-wheel drive. Pricing for the Project Kahn-prepped Rexton R-Line begins in the UK from £29,995 on-the-road.
Lotus has joined forces with tuning specialist Project Kahn to create a bespoke version of the Elise to celebrate the British automaker’s 60th Anniversary. Along with the release of a few teaser images, Project Kahn also revealed details on the limited production Elise that will be officially unveiled in September. The exterior of the Elise has been upgraded with an aerodynamic styling package, whilst the interior is given the full Kahn treatment with full leather seats and door trims. In terms of performance, the Elise’s air flow system is enhanced with the addition of the Kahn sports exhaust while the suspension is lowered with 28 stage dampeners for improved handling.
While we wouldn’t go as far as calling it “God damn hot”, we do find the Project Khan prepped Range Rover Sport, interesting. Then again, we find Carrot Top interesting, but that doesn’t mean we’d actually go and pay to see him perform, if you get our drift. So, now that we’ve gracefully made our point on the Vesuvius’ appearance let’s see what Project Khan has done to the Range Rover Sport. -Continued after the jumpFirst of all, the
Inside, the bi-colour theme is continued in the quilted perforated seats, centre box and door panels. In addition, the pentagon tinted window glass covers the push button engine start, cream instrument dials and colour reverse camera.
Finally, just to make sure that you’re friends know that you own a Vesuvius, a Vesuvius wristwatch comes free with the purchase of the car. Carrot Top, eat your head...
