The 4CV was Renault’s answer to the original VW Beetle and it was built from 1946 to 1961. And even though Renault built a racing car based on the 4CV in collaboration with the Alpine company, the Alpine A-106, that car is nowhere near as radical as this 1957 example that’s for sale on e-Bay. The partially-finished project has been modified for drag racing competition and it is equipped with a Subaru Legacy 2.0 Litre twin-turbo engine that delivers close to 300 HP. Pity that the seller didn’t modify it for street-legal use. -More pictures after the jump
