Carrozeria Castagna Aznom: 750Hp Corvette Z06 Based Italian "Stud"

Back in April at the Top Marques Show in Monaco, Carrozzeria Castagna gave us a glimpse of its then unfinished, Corvette Z06 based supercar, the Aznom concept. Well, ladies and gentlemen, here’s the Milanese coachbuilder’s final product. Since I nearly threw up my Napolitano pizza upon seeing the Aznom, I decided to zip it up and leave its appearance uncommented...

So moving on to, using the Corvette Z06’s steel chassis, Castagna dressed the Aznom with an exterior body made from carbon fibre with magnesium and aluminium structural components also used in the coachwork process to help reduce overall weight to 1400 kg. Further weight savings and aerodynamic efficiency come from a composite-material 'flat bottom', while there are smaller overall details such as the carbon-shelled rear view mirrors mounted on perpendicular posts. -Continued: Click “Read More…” below

According to Carrozzeria Castanga the Aznom is fitted with a supped up version of the Corvette Z06's 7.0-litre aluminium V8 engine lifting power from 505 Hp, to an immense 750 Hp at 6,200 rpm while maximum torque has hiked to 980 Nm at 3,800 rpm. The Aznom’s top speed is a claimed 350 km/h (218 mph) while 0-100 km/h (62mph) is reached in 3.4 sec.
